UAV DISPLACEMENT SENSORSReducing Cost of Ownership In concert with the Paris Air Show's UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) Awareness Forum, we will deliver a paper titled UAV Displacement Sensors: Reducing Cost of Ownership. We will deliver this paper on 20 June 2003 at 2:25 pm at the Hall 4 Auditorium (Le Bourget). The paper will also be delivered at UAV Forum 2003 on 13 June 2003 at 2:15 pm at the Equinox Event Center, Paris. For a preview copy of this paper, send a message with your complete contact details to s085a@Firstmarkcontrols.com. Firstmark Controls will exhibit at the Paris Air Show in coordination with our France representative, AllianTech SAS. The exhibit will be located at Hall 4, Stand E2. We invite you to visit us if you will be at the show. ![]() SIDE IMPACT TESTINGSeries 162 Position Transducers Revel in High Acceleration The Federal Outdoor Impact Laboratory (FOIL) of the FHWA/NHTSA National Crash Analysis Center at The George Washington University conducted side impact testing using Series 162 position transducers to monitor various displacements. The test consisted of a stationary Ford Taurus impacted by a Chevrolet S-10 pickup traveling at 30 mph. The center of the S-10 impacted the Taurus side at the center of the A-pillar. Five Series 162 position transducers were mounted along the center tunnel of the Taurus and attached to four locations on the drivers door and one location on the B-pillar. The purpose of the position transducers was to measure the crush of the driver's door and the rate of that crush. For more information on this application, please contact us.
